Neocaridina Shrimp are freshwater invertebrates that grow to a maximum size of 1.25 inches long. They are a very peaceful species and do well in a community tank. They serve like janitors in your aquarium curiously picking at algae and detritus and do best in groups of 5 or more as they are a community animal. 3. Pygmy Corydoras
This fish is an active and cute addition to your tank. They also help clean your tank which helps reduce algae and detritus. These cute fish can grow up to 1 inch in size making them well suited to a nano tank. They are very peaceful and will do well in a community tank. If you have a community or tropical fish tank I highly recommend that you get a group of 6+ because they are a community fish. 4. Rummynose Tetras
These bright colored fish are a nice addition to a tropical fish tank. They range from 2-3 inches in size when fully grown. They are a very peaceful schooling fish that does best in groups of 3 or more. They eat most types of frozen food and are not picky eaters. These cool looking animals have a suction cup like mouth which they use to attach themselves to the glass of your aquarium. They grow up to 3 inches long at maximum size so a minimum tank size of 20 gallons is recommended. These fish are tank cleaners and will actively eat algae off your glass. They are schooling fish so it’s recommended to keep a group of at least 5 fish for best results. You can find them at some local fish stores so they are not hard to source.
